Marilyn's last film, Something's Got to Give, which was being made in 1962, was sadly never completed. In her short 36 years Marilyn became an enduring icon, which still shines until this very day. Her face still appears on the cover of magazines, 50 years after her death. Pop stars, such as Madonna, have emulated her blonde hair, her makeup and her style. New hollywood actresses emulate her on the red carpet and in magazine photo-shoots. Marilyn Monroe was and is the greatest classic movie star of them all.

Supported by Chopard, the 2012 Cannes Film Festival will celebrate Marilyn Monroe on the 50th anniversary of her death. Marilyn will be featured on the festival’s posters and in a special exhibition of 25 unpublished photographs by Milton H. Greene. Named “Marilyn Forever,” the exhibition opened on May the 16th at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes. After the festival, the exhibition will travel to Chopard boutiques around the world with a Marilyn-inspired “Tribute Set,” featuring a one-of-a-kind diamond necklace and earrings, weighing an impressive 210 carats. Diamonds are a girls best friend!
